iPhone 8 Rumored Features, Specs, Release Date and Price

Apple's 10th anniversary for the iPhones will take place in 2017, and the company has something 'spectacular' planned for the occasion. Apple's 2017 iPhone will be named "iPhone 8" and it will be the next sensation in the market. "iPhone 8" is a tentative name, and yet the most logical choice for the device. According to "Tim Cook", "iPhone 8 will definitely create a real revolution unlike it's predecessors". So, our expectations and estimations for the upcoming iPhone 8 is really really at its full brim. As usual, we've got several months ahead of us, until the launch of the iPhone 8, but due to Apple's mapped out ambition for the next iPhone, rumors are already circulating in abundance, and tech enthusiasts have started hinting on the impressive features the iPhone 8 will bring.

Features

Apple's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were both very impressive pieces, considering the "red" edition which was released few weeks ago. It was a real show stealer and it received immense love from the Apple users who were in utter shock. Following the rumors, Apple are testing more than 10 prototype iPhone models. So it is very early or perhaps not entirely clear on the features we're going to see. Thus Rumors suggest that the brand will come up with a radical redesign, with an edge-to-edge display. This means that there will be No Bezel, not even on top or bottom. So the display will be housed with features like Touch ID fingerprint sensor and a front-facing selfie camera. Apple may even get rid of the Home button, perhaps this was the Tim Cook's revolution for the brand.

"Jony Ive" has always been passionate to introduce an iPhone that will consist of a single sheet of glass, which will certainly be essential if Apple wants to introduce a wireless charging system. But according to the rumor, we may only see a hint of glass in the body and the base will most probably be metallic. The edge-to-edge design idea for the iPhone 8 looks valid, so we'll likely see an iPhone 8 with a 5.8-inch display and a 5.15-inch usable area or a slightly larger display screen that'll house the virtual button. Apple will use a flexible OLED technology, for the iPhone 8 display instead of LCD, this will ensure a device that consumes less power with higher contrast ratio and vibrant colors. The iPhone 8, may even feature a curved edges just like what we saw on the Samsung Galaxy S8.

According to the rumors, iPhone 8 may feature a 10-nanometer A11 chip, that'll be faster both in speed and efficiency. As per another rumor, the iPhone 8 will also feature a "long range" wireless charging system, plus a biometric additions such as iris, facial or gesture recognition. The dual-lens camera, which comprises both lenses will also feature an optical image stabilization. The iPhone 8 display, will really enrich gaming performance. Also the flagship will feature an "IP68 water resistant. Apple may re-adopt the glass body used in the iPhone 4, and thus the iPhone 8 will feature a glass body that'll be built around an aluminum or stainless steel frame. iPhone 8 could adopt a type USB-C port, a 3D sensing capabilities for the front-facing camera which will allow it to find location and depth of objects in front of it. Here's the recap for iPhone 8 rumored features.
  • Edge to edge display
  • 5.8 inch Super OLED Display
  • Faster A11 Processor
  • Glass Body
  • No Physical Home Button
  • Wireless Charging
  • 4K Display
  • 14 MP Primary Camera
  • 4 MP Secondary Camera
  • 64/124/256 Internal Storage Memory
  • 4 GB RAM

Now with this features, we are sincerely hoping for a unique and feature-packed iPhone 8. Further more, another rumour unveiled online, saying that Apple are on the verge or they're planning to produce a total of three iPhone models in 2017. It is actually confusing, but since iPhone 8 is sure, perhaps the other two device will be called iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. Multiple rumors also suggest that there will be three (3) versions of iPhones, first is the "Premium" OLED model & second will be a two standard LCD devices, with sizes that may include 4.7 inches, 5.5 and 5.8 inches OLED display. The "high-end" OLED iPhone 8 will likely feature a glass body with Bezel-less screen while others will continue with aluminum body. Let's take a look at the unofficial preliminary specifications of the iPhone 8.

How To Add Beautiful Background to the Status Bar Header on Android

Android has improved severally since the past recent years, with customizations or mods taking over the ground with a rapid speed. If you had used an Android phone back in 2013, then you will agree with me that Android's main UI is looking pretty much good from what we actually knew back then. Developers are there creating lot's of themes and instigating users to try them out. Most of these themes can totally revamp the look and feel of your Android device to look stunning, just like what we saw in the Substranum Theme Engine. Now out of inspiration, thunder 07 decided to create an "Xposed Module" which adds beautiful background images to your Android's pull-down menu or status bar header.
Thunder07 was inspired to create "Zeus Contextual Expanded Status Bar Header" after he saw "Contextual Lenox Header" which has the same similarity with the module he created. Now after using this feature on his carbon ROM, he felt he'd be able to bring back the "Contextual Lenox Header" to any stock Android running on Lollipop and above. Luckily, he was able to achieve this, even better. This feature (Contextual Lenox Header) was first seen on eXistenZ ROM and on CM based ROMs like OMNI, Resurrection, AOSP etc. So, if you're eager to customize your Android's expanded status bar header with beautiful background or images, then here's how to do it.

Prerequisites

  • Android 5.0 Lollipop and above.

Install Zeus Contextual Expanded Status Bar Header

To begin with, you'll first need to install the Xposed Installer app, then from your app drawer, locate and open the Xposed framework. From here, simply head over to the download section via the app and search for "Zeus Contextual Expanded Status Header". Next, click on the result, then swipe from the left to jump into the version tab. From here, hit the download button and install the module afterwards. Alternatively, you can install "Zeus Contextual Expanded Status Header" from the Xposed Repository website.

Activate Zeus Contextual Expanded Status Bar Header

Next, you'll need to activate the module. Thus a notification from Xposed will pop up, informing you that Zeus Contextual Expanded Status Bar Header hasn't been activated yet, so tap activate and reboot your device. Alternatively, you can open the Xposed Installer app, from the main menu, head over to the Module section and tick the Zeus Contextual Expanded Status Bar Header box. Now go back and navigate into the framework section and perform a soft reboot.

Enjoy New Contextual Background

Now once your device finishes rebooting, then we're set to ride. Simply pull-down or expand your notification tray, you will see an overlay of gorgeous images on to of your Android device notification panel header. Automatically, backgrounds will change based on time of day, so you will always be greeted by a new & refreshing pictures when you check your status bar header. Zeus contextual Expanded Status Bar Header brings different photos each of them represents morning, afternoon evening and night. Thus, below are the time when your status bar header images should change...
  • Morning: 3.00 am until 12.00 pm.
  • Afternoon: 12.00 pm until 6.00 p.m.
  • Evening: 6.00 pm until 9.00 pm.
  • Night: 9.00 pm until 3.00 am.

Set Custom Background

After so many requests from the "Zeus Cntextual Expanded Status Bar Header", users, thunder07 has decided to update the module, and this time, he integrated the ability to set your own background in the status bar header . Thus you can now choose any of your favorite images, and use them as your contextual background. For example, you can set an Easter image to beautify your device during the event. This feature obviously comes in handy, since by default, the module brings only 3 custom background.

In summary, I'd say that Zeus Contextua Expanded Status Bar Header is probably one of the best Xposed module that can customize our Android device to the brim and while the app seems to be awesome, Thunder07 will also be integrating more features to improve the module. Soon it will be able to support all dirty unicorns custom ROMs, you can change time, hue and opacity. This module is working on LG G3, LG v10, LG G4 and other devices running on lollipop, marshmallow and above. Overall it brings a ray of sunshine to my Android device notification tray.

The Google Opinion Reward app can give you some extra cash if only you play your games well. The app works by giving you surveys periodically, and most of these questions are quite simple since they are based around your shopping habit. Quite simple huh?.... just let them know about your opinion on a subject and earn some extra cash as reward. As intriguing as it seems, you've to know that the rewards you get won't actually pay your bills, but each survey reward can give you from 25 cent to a dollar or more without stressing much. I know the money seems small, but with time it can add up fast. And when it does, you will be able to buy a free movie rental, purchase a couple of games, apps and comic books from the Google Play Store.

The first time you launch Google Opinion Rewards, you'll be greeted with a few or perhaps quick introductions. So you can simply swipe through this introductions or if you'd like to make things quick, tap on the "Skip" button to navigate further and pass this introductions. Note: If you have not used "Google Wallet" with your account before, you will be asked to set it up at that point. Thus the app will ask for your name, country and postal code

Next, you'll be taken to the next window and from here, Google Opinion Reward app will ask you a series of demographic questions. The main purpose behind this questions, is for the app to receive some informations which will be related to the relevant surveys that'll be offered to you. Most of these questions will require your age group, postal code, gender, language, etc. Google will also unravel how the app works, telling you that a simple record of your participation is the only thing they keep in order to credit your Google Play balance. So if you see this message, select the “I understand, please continue” option to move along.

So go ahead and fill out this questions to the best of your abilities. Once through, your profile will be created. Next you'll be taken to the app's main menu, from here a pop-up or perhaps an overlay will emerge, and this will explain how you'll be notified when a survey is available to be answered. Simply tap on the screen to dismiss this message, and you'll see your Google Opinion Rewards dashboard.

Take a Survey

Now once you've finished setting up the necessities, then you'll have to wait for a survey to show up. This'll come as a form of notification, so simply pull down and tap on the notification. The next screen will show you an explanation about the survey you're about to answer, so simply tap "OK, got it" to move over to the next phase. Now, you’ll be greeted with a set of questions, simply answer the survey questions as honestly as you can.

For instance, if you have recently visited a hotel or even bank, Google may ask you "which of the following places have you visited recently". Now if you answer this question honestly, you'll receive a higher reward. But if perhaps you answered the question dishonestly, you will receive a lower reward. Once you have completed the survey, you'll see how much reward you've earned.

Also, upon the completion of the survey question, your Google Play account will be credited. You can check your available balance from the dashboard. Remember to use it to purchase goods from Google Play Store (simply tap on "spend your play credit" to get this one going). If perhaps you don't want to miss a survey, you can turn notifications on. To do this, tap the menu icon in the top right corner of the app, Then, you've to tap on Settings, and from here simply enable the “Notification sounds” toggle.

Final Words

Surveys have limited time, they can even disappear between 20 hours if you didn't answer them quickly. Now if you want to get more surveys, you've to visit places such as the grocery store etc. Google will send you surveys once a week, although it may be more or less frequent. When a short & relevant survey is ready for you, you can receive up to £0.60 in Play credit for completing it. Surveys may take time to appear depending on your location. Enjoy your money!!
